Does my current car insurance cover my new car?

I paid for the brand brand new automobile upon Friday afternoon. My word group has the recording to call behind upon Monday. Will my stream process cover me whilst we expostulate my brand brand new automobile this weekend?

Nope! this is what gap insurance is for.
My insurance company has always told me that I have 48 hours to call them with the new car information. My guess is that you’re OK for the weekend, but call them Monday morning.
BTW, a previous answer mentions something about gap insurance. That’s wrong. This has nothing to do with gap insurance.
Hmmm, how did you registered it (you need insurance in order to registered your car) how did you get your licensed plate? in any case a new vehicle is covered up to 14 days (depending in which state you’re in) providing you report it to your insurance company as soon as possible…
P.S. Most dealers will not release a vehicle without insurance and license plate….
I’ve never heard of any auto insurance company offering retro-active coverage.
I guess it would depend on whether or not you have coverage that is attached to yourself and not a specific car.
If your policy is for the car you used to drive, then no, it would not cover your new car for the weekend.
Both my old car and my new car was covered for ( I think) 14 days before I had to pay insurance on both. There’s a good chance the dealership will know more about this in your state. I’d give them a call in the morning.
It’s supposed to cover you in any car you drive and if you attempted to contact them then you are covered.
Wow… horrible.. horrible answers so far.. especially that first one.. gap insurance has nothing to do with this..
Honestly.. no one here will be able to answer your question. Generally… and i stress GENERALLY your coverage for your old car will transfer to your new car for the first 30 days.. aka.. if you had collision with a 500 dollar deductible on your old car.. it will transfer for 30 days…. but… this is the bigger companies.. it really depends.
Honestly.. id just stay off the road until monday… you dont know how many people on here write questions about how their insurance denied their claim on there new car…
next time.. id consider a bigger company that has 24/7 service.
The better thing to do is try to search it on the net. Read some insurance policy and seek some additional information about it. You can try to visit this cheap car insurance site http://www.nightbirdssolutions.com for your reference and additional information.
