Will comprehensive car insurance cover multiple parking lot dents and dings, i.e. other car doors hitting mine?

I have mixed dents as well as scratches in my automobile (both sides) from automobile doors opening in to my car in parking lot areas. The dents have been obviously not caused by any error upon my part. Will extensive word customarily cover this, as well as if so, as a single claim? we am insured with USAA in Florida.

I have USAA as well and no they will not the reason is you would have to file a separate claim for each dent since they were not all done at the same time and prove that the claim was within a time window from when it happened. And because of this the cost for each dent will be less then your deductible would be to have them fixed. The reason they will fix hail damage something with similar size damage is because it was one incident that caused all the small dents.
Insurance will cover the dings.
And each and every ding will be it’s own separate claim and your deductible will apply to each claim. So it’s not worth filing claims on your door dings.
I would take the car to a paintless dent repair place. You can find them in the phone book or an internet search for “paintless dent repair”. Most will give you a free estimate.
each “ding” must be handled separately and is covered by your collision insurance ( not comprehensive) subject to your deductible. It isn’t worth it.
If you have 5 “dings”, you would have to pay 5 separate deductibles
This question is a bit of a trap for talkers but do-ers know that the real world works differently.
Just claim on one ding on the left and one ding on the right.
Make sure they are dings with scratches.
There is no way one can fix one ding without doing the whole door.
And depending on the type of paint, matching color can be quite difficult so in that case they’d have to do the whole car.
I know someone that was offered the solution by his sprayer: he said to get it all keyed up in one big go so it’d have to be done in the one claim and that is it. The sprayer did the keying himself. Bit of illegality there but it’s up to the sprayer.
The insured isn’t getting anything for free as he is covered and the car did have scratches everywhere.
It is easier to do the whole door than wasting time repairing the one scratch on it.
Good luck submitting an individual claim for each ding.
no. that would be considered collision. comprehensive would be something like a tree hitting your car, a rock hitting your car. but if there is another car that is collision. i think that the carts would be covered because it be considered a launched item.
If you can prove that the dings happen at the same time, then that would be one claim.
As someone said here, claim for one scratch and get the door done, of course they’ll do the other scratches too, LOL.
